The GCC Centre of Management Studies (GCMS) that started in 2009 is recognized as one of the best institutions imparting the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Public Sector Collegiate Education. The two years full time MBA is affiliated to Gauhati University (GU) and approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The GCMS is the most prestigious addition to the academic programme of Gauhati Commerce College, established in 1962.
The current business scenario being more complex and competitive than ever before, business leaders need to think creatively and react strategically to gain and sustain competitive advantages. The GCMS does not aim to teach the students only the traditional premises of MBA, but also to transform each of the students into a business manager, who can deliver and contribute as soon as they step into the corporate world, well-equipped with a set of skills and a spirit of enduring learning. The GCMS nurture its students to be emotionally intelligent through inculcating human values and professional ethics so that they surpass competition and excel better than the best.
